The Revenue Cycle AR Biller is responsible for managing accounts receivable and ensuring accurate, timely reimbursement for hospital services. This role supports the revenue cycle by resolving outstanding balances, processing claims, and working collaboratively with patients, payers, and internal teams to maintain financial integrity and a positive patient experience.  On-the-job training is available. 

• Manage and follow up on assigned accounts receivable, including aged accounts and denied claims
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies with insurance carriers and patients
• Submit and track insurance claims in accordance with payer requirements
• Verify remittance advice and ensure accurate posting of payments
• Communicate with patients regarding billing questions and financial responsibilities
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure clean claims and efficient billing workflows
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the revenue cycle

About the Position

Northern Cochise Community Hospital is seeking a dependable and organized Case Management Assistant / Nursing Admin Assistant to support the RN Case Manager and Nursing Department. This position plays an important role in assisting with discharge planning, insurance authorizations, durable medical equipment coordination, outpatient services, transportation arrangements, follow-up appointments, utilization review support, and documentation in the Electronic Medical Record.

The ideal candidate will be professional, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent customer service while working closely with patients, families, staff, providers, and members of the interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

·         Assist the Case Manager and Nursing Department with Administration duties and discharge planning and coordination of patient care needs.

·         Prepare and review packets, obtain insurance authorizations, and support utilization review requests by phone, fax, and website updates.

·         Coordinate durable medical equipment, outpatient services, transportation, transfers to another level of care, and follow-up appointments as directed.

·         Provide patients with access to available primary care providers and community resources prior to discharge.

·         Document appropriate case management information in the Electronic Medical Record.

·         Attend weekly interdisciplinary team meetings and assist with accurate documentation.

·         Answer phones, route calls, take messages, and provide routine information as needed.

·         Develop and maintain records and files for efficient departmental operations.

·         Operate standard office equipment, including computer, fax, copier, calculator, and related tools.

·         Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

·         Minimum of 6 months of experience in a hospital setting required; 1 year of hospital experience preferred.

·         Current BLS/CPR certification required in accordance with Northern Cochise Community Hospital policy.

·         Current certification in non-violent crisis intervention (CPI) required.

·         Ability to maintain confidentiality of medical, financial, employee, computer, and other sensitive information.

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This position is generally performed in a hospital environment with a moderate noise level. Summary: Functions as the Physical Therapist (PT) in a team and mission-based setting to provide medically-prescribed physical therapy to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of a body part and activities for in-patients and out-patients of a (small) Critical Access Hospital (CAH) at Northern Cochise Community Hospital (NCCH).

PT provides services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease. PT is responsible for creating an environment of patient-centered care through evidence-based standard. In collaboration with meeting required compliance with all state, federal, and local regulation laws, standards and protocols PT ensures adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. NCCH is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part Time Certified Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations. Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, this role assists with medication preparation, inventory management, billing processes, and overall pharmacy workflow.

Scheduled work dates and hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00am-5:00pm 

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain pharmacy stock, monitor inventory levels, and order medications as needed

Summary: Functions as the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in a team and mission-based setting to provide assistant to the Physical Therapist with related activities and direct patient care for in-patients and out-patients of a (small) Critical Access Hospital (CAH) at Northern Cochise Community Hospital (NCCH).  

PTA provides services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease. PTA must project a professional appearance and be well organized with strong critical thinking skills. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.

This position requires a commitment to teamwork, collaboration and department scheduling needs i.e. good attendance, attitude, customer services, communication skills, timely deadlines, etc.,

Supervision Required: Works under the direct supervision of the Rehabilitation Services Manager/Physical Therapist (RSM/PT) or designated administrator.

Education and/or Experience:

Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistants Program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Current unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant license from the Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners, required.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate (American Heart Association), required – must maintain current certification and recertify prior to expiration date.
